Consolidating and simplifying the platform

A platform alignment project that aimed to streamline the user experience. Mainly consolidating and simplifying services and features to enable discoverability. Prior to the alignment, our content was spread across many subcollections. I completed an audit, tested the content from a user perspective, and proposed a redesign of our content placement with the following questions in mind - What is outdated? What content can be consolidated? Is there a way we can reframe how we present our most frequented documentation topics?

Original design

Our documentation is vast and detailed. We ensure a problem is solvable and a question is answered by using our tools. But when it came down to navigating through the different topics, time was not on the users side.

A streamlined view of common practices and topics would benefit all.

Improved experience

My proposal promoted efficiency. Our feedback reflected frustration with the docs navigation. My evaluation minimized the collection crossover and grouped related content together.
