Problem statement
In information technology, resiliency is broadly defined as the ability of an organization or solution to maintain essential systems and applications and to recover from disruptions. A business-critical application that is not well-designed for handling disasters can have a significant negative impact on business operations and the user experience. How customers plan and manage when a disaster occurs is an important piece to the puzzle. There is a critical need for a comprehensive solution guide that helps customers understand all aspects of resiliency from the perspective of our IBM Cloud clients, their solution planners, architects and builders and the resilient solutions they create on the platform.

Glossary guidance
Terminology plays an essential role in how the user understands the concepts and features of a product. I assessed existing and new terminology to ensure
That the term fits with similar concepts and the industry as a whole
That the term doesn't conflict with any existing terminology in the product area
That the term is easily consumable and understandable
Template creation
The solution guide required collaboration and input from many of our service teams. Because of this, we relied on services to implement resiliency documentation in their service specific collections. I created templates for the services to follow to ensure consistency across the platform. Template implementation example
Strategic reuse
I combined original content with existing IBM Cloud service documentation. Reusing this documentation avoids a duplication of effort. By placing these services within a cohesive narrative, the guide provides readers with a clear understanding of resiliency.
User analytics
I used data collection tools to understand how customers are using our content. That information was then used to frame the narrative around this guide.
